Suggest Treatment For Proteinuria

I went to the doctors to have a urine test for an internship and they found protein in my urine. My doctor prescribed me with an antibiotic for a week and that reduced the amount of protein enormously but not completely. Then he told me to drink plenty of water for a month and come back to see him. Well there is still protein in my urine. So I have to see a nephrologist. I am very healthy and active and Ledbetter disease doesn t run in my family. I also noticed that I have been having really bad cramps when I go running and sometimes they continue even after I am done running. I looked up random stuff that I eat or do that could be causing my cramping and I came across that soy milk can cause cramping and cause malabsorption of protein. Could the soy milk that I drink everyday in my coffee be causing the protein in my urine?

are several causes of proteinuria. Cause can be infectious which must respond to antibiotics & increased fluid intake. Seems like you are asymptomatic for which other causes are not possible. But still if you have generalized body swelling and swollen ankle joints, you need to consult a nephrologist.
Hope it helps.
