Suggest treatment for prostatomegaly with insignificant postvoid residue
I am 53 years old male. I am suffering from urine pains since 1 month. The pus cells were 40-60 before 1 months. The latest (6.2.2014) USG of the Abdomen & Pelvis report shows Prostatomegaly (48gm) with insignificant postvoid residue . What are the causes of it?How is it treated for? Is it fully curable? Does it required any kind of surgery?
You have symptoms of prostate enlargement. Due to too narrow urethra, you are unable to urinate properly.
Luckily there is a surgical procedure (done during a cystoscopy) of partial resection of the prostate. This makes urethra wide again and should set you free from the symptoms. You should consult a urologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
