Suggest Treatment For Prickly Rashes On The Head And Itchiness On The Throat

I am a 69 year old woman generally in very good health. I have had a prickly rash for over two months. It started on my back and moved over my entire trunk and then moved to my limbs (not on hands, feet or head). My inner ear and throat became itchy as well. I have been treated with steroids and antihistamines twice. The symptoms abate but come back after the meds are finished.

HI,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com
I have read your query in detail and do understand your concern.

Prickly heat rash is due to blockage of sweat ducts.
It is usually seen in hot and humid climate.

For effective treatment,
steroids are not usually recommended.
Vitamin C tablets taken twice to thrice daily will help.
Apply calamine lotion over affected areas.
Try to stay in cooler weather or air conditioned settings.
Relief will be there in about a week

Hope this helps!
You can revert back if you have any other question.
Good luck!
