General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Your short history of feeling of pressure in right ear as if taking off or landing of plane lasting for 20 - 30 seconds, also have fever and cold; feeling horrible.
This is a classical example of Eustachian tube dysfunction that occurs secondary to nasopharyngitis. There is inflammation of the nose and throat area most probably due to viral infection. The opening of the Eustachian becomes patulous so that the air is easily passed through it to the middle ear and the reverse is also possible so that you are getting the feeling that you have.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Stop blowing the nose and avoid any maneuver in the back of nose and throat that increases pressure.
Decongestant nasal drops like Otrivin.
Anti-inflammatory medicine like Ibuprofen if it suits you.
Consult your Doctor to have further evaluation and have prescription based medicines.
Second opinion of an ENT Surgeon will be more rewarding.
Take rest and avoid sudden temperature zones in house or at workplace.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
