Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a severe premature ejaculation problem. I want to get rid of it and last longer. Can you suggest me some medication or pills so that i can last longer. I have no problem with erection but as soon as i penetrate the vagina i come out. it does not last even 30 seconds. please help me.
I can understand the amount of distress that you must be having due to Premature Ejaculation. However, your condition is amenable to treatment.
It is recommended that you seek a psychiatric consultation for starting treatment in form of both medications and behavior therapy. Medications would include selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors like paroxetine (daily) or dapoxetine on as required basis. Behavior therapy sessions complement the effect of the medications.
Behavior therapy sessions would consist of 1-2/week for 6-8 weeks. It would incorporate relaxation training, sex education and learning methods like squeeze technique, start-stop method and distraction. The outcome will be even more favorable if your sexual partner participates in the behavior therapy sessions.
Hope this information was helpful. Best wishes.
