Suggest Treatment For Pneumonia

Hi I had been diagnosed pneumonia upper right lobe, possible aspiration pneumonia. Two weeks later went for exray now they say no change, going to have ct., I feel better never had fever etc. I am a six year cancer survivor. I don't want ct. Do you think two weeks was long enough for pneumonia to clear? I did do ten days on avalox.

Hello
As you mentioned that you are having "ASPIRATION PNEUMONIA ", so I am advising this treatment .
1 Aspiration pneumonia ( presumed to be due to effects of gastric acid or other irritant)===Avalox may help .
2 Aspiration pneumonia :poor dental hygiene or putrid sputum , alcoholism ( anaerobic suspected)==Metronidazole 500 mg twice in day for 14 days.
Levofloxacin 500 mg orally or moxifloxacin 400 mg twice in day 10 days .
3 Aspiration pneumonia community acquired ==Levofloxacin or moxifloxacin or ceftriazone .
I write down complete treatment of aspiration pneumonia , if is , you will get relief.
In my opinion at present no need of any C T scan after 10 day ( if you are a patient of aspiration pneumonia).
Hope this information will be helpful for you.
