Suggest Treatment For Pneumonia And Strep

I have a 77 year old mother who has been diagnosed with walking pneumonia and strep. She has been to the doctor twice and hospital twice and sent home each time. She has been very lethargic and confused and only seems to be able to get out of bed maybe twice a day. Today her doctor sent her to the hospital for another chest xray and now she is home waiting to see what the results will be. This has been going on for roughly 3 weeks and we do not see any improvement. She is also diabetic and one medication he gave her made her blood sugar go over 300, which at that point she was almost passing out. Is there anything else we can do to help her? She is eating (very little) and we are giving her fluids. Please help, I am extremely worried for her. We have NEVER seen her be so sick.

I need to know hasn't the doctor given any medicines for Pneumonia?

Pneumonia means infection of lung . It could happen due to Bacteria or virus or Fungus. And depending on what is the causing treatment will be given with Antibiotics or Anti viral or Anti fungal medications respectively.

I would have admitted her to hospital if she was my patient . If not admission ask your doctor to start Antibiotic treatment emperically.
