Suggest Treatment For Pleurisy

Dr. I have a pain in my upper chest and I think it s probably Plersi. I got that a lot growing up. But it s been a while. What can I do to take care of that? If I didn t spell it right it s where the fluid between the muscle and the bone is gone. Breathing deep is when it is the most pain...no other pain at all YYYY@YYYY

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should first get done chest x ray to rule out causes of pleurisy (inflammation of pleura ).
The causes of pleurisy are
1. Pneumonia
2. Pleural effusion
3. TB
4. Pneumothorax
5. Rib fractures
6. Pulmonary contusions etc.
So get done chest x ray to rule out these causes.
You can take painkiller to relieve pain from pleurisy.
Definitive treatment will only be after diagnosis of cause.
