Suggest Treatment For Pimples On Cheek

I generally have very good skin. I almost never get pimples (aside from blackheads on my nose) and when I do it s just one either on my cheeks near my nose or by my brow and its large, painful, dry and red. For the last two weeks or so, I had this pimple forming on my cheek. It started out as one of the typical pimples I would get, but after time it started to get bigger and bigger and became more and more painful. Around a week ago the skin around it started peeling and there was a large white spot in the middle of it. It hurt so I assumed it was puss and applied some clearisil and left it alone. This morning it was starting to go down and look a little better, but when I looked in the mirror tonight, it was dark purple towards the outside, the middle was almost black, and there was a black spot in the middle. This has never happened to me before so I touched the black dot and this oily, kind of diluted blood came out onto my nails. Im so confused and kind of worried. Can you explain to me what this is, how it happened, and how I can fix and prevent it. Thank you very much.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your problem.
The pimple you have is a kind of big acne known a nodulocystic acne.
Sometime they form when small pimples get infected by bacteria. After that, pus and blood may accumulate in that leading to increase in size. The purple black color you have observed inside the nodule is due to blood inside.
I advise you should apply clearasil or any topical cream containing benzoyl peroxide on the "acne prone areas" of your face on daily bases. This will prevent development of black & white heads from which nodular acne can form.
You should use anti-bacterial cream or gel containing clindamycine whenever you develop a nodular acne.
You should wash your face with mild face wash 2-3 times a day. Refrain from applying hair oil and eating excessive oily foods. Take treatment of dandruff if you have.
I hope this will be helpful.
Take care.
