Hi I m really freaking out and really embarrassed to have to talk to my doctor about this but I have a red swollen lump about the size of a big pimple on my labia minora near the top. It does not have a head I have tried to squeeze it though and it s very painful to touch. I put peroxide on it and it didn t bubble up or anything. I don t think it s an std Because I have had the same sexual partner for a few years now and I just had a pap test done last month. I did get the mirena put in about a week and a half ago and I have had my period for a while now please help me
Hi, I have gone through your question. This raised painful lesion on labia minora seems to be a furuncle, which is the bacterial infection of the hair follicle. It needs to be treated urgently as it can lead to further pus formation and spread of infection. I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated by antibiotics accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
