Thank you for your answer! From the condition you prescribe it is a folliculitis of this region, which is an inflammatory reaction of the hair follicle, due to micro-organisms which may be bacteria, yeasts or mites. When a patient similar to your condition meets my clinic, I prescribe an antidandruff shampoo containing ciclopirox or ketokonazole, wash twice a week, and topical antibiotics such as fusidic acid gel or clindamycin solution(for 2-3 weeks), but since these are prescribtion drugs, talk with your treating physician. If the situation is more severe i prescribe oral antibiotics, particularly long-term tetracycline, if you are not allergic to it. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask me again!
