Pharyngitis is clinically characterized by sore throat, enlarged glands, fever, cough.Difficulty in breathing could be due to anxiety, associated bronchitis/lower respiratory involvement. The treatment starts with salt water gargles, avoidance of cold drinks, decongestants(benadryl syrup) if no relief then antibiotic may be needed after consulting your doctor.
