Suggest Treatment For Petechial Rashes On The Legs

I have had petechial rashes on my legs in a small amount that have come and gone over the last several years. Now I have the rash on both legs in much more area than before, and it does not seem to be fading or going away, should I see a Dr. for this and if so what kind/ specialty of Dr. should I see?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
