General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Petechiae in the throat is usually related to strep throat infection. I suggest doing a throat culture to confirm the infection.

If the diagnosis is confirmed, I suggest using a cycle of antibiotics. I also suggest using a throat spray for antibacterial properties.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
