Understanding your concern. Persistent sore throat and headaches per your query seems you have symptoms of sore throat which seems to be due to infection by strep throat. Sometimes allergic reaction can also cause sore throat. I would suggest you to

- Start with warm saline gargles and beta-dine gargles 3-4 times a day.
- For pain and swelling you should take ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
- Avoid hot, sharp , spicy food substances.
- Do warm saline rinses and carbonated beverages.
- Drink hot milk with half tea spoon turmeric powder.

Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and rule out condition like strep throat and viral infection . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics or anti viral drug depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestants and anti inflammatory .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
