Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain In Upper Thigh Radiating To Groin
I have chronic pain in my upper left thigh (on the front) extending from mid-thigh up to almost the groin. The pain shifts around but is almost constant. It gets worse when walking or moving around- I m a big exerciser and can no longer race-walk but find that I can use a recumbent bike and that doesn t hurt me. I had a hip x-ray and the doctor says I am bone on bone and need hip replacement. I m just trying to rule out anything else it could be. This has been going on for months and first started when I was on statin drugs. I no longer take them but the pain has persisted and gotten worse. I use a stim machine which helps temporarily and I sleep with magnets on my leg and that helps too. Help!!! What kind of doctor should I see about this??? YYYY@YYYY
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
You should consult an Orthopedic Surgeon for reevaluation and as a second opinion for the same.
Chiropractors are also trained for relieving the pains. But first option you should go for is Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Physiotherapy of the affected hip will help relieve the pain.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
Best Regards!
