Suggest Treatment For Persistent Nasal Bleeding

I ve never had a bloody nose. We are vacationing in Wikiki at the moment. Yesterday about 2:30 my nose started to bleed profusely. I pinched my nose while trying to ice it. It stopped for a couple of hours and then started up again. I had called the paramedics to take me to ER. There it continued to bleed. I was told to pinch my nose for very hard for so many minutes at a time. Ok then it seemed to stop. They drew blood and did lab work that came back ok. Then the released me but then my nose started to bleed again. So I requested that theyvat least cauterize it. Sobthatvwas done to my right nostril. But, I m very concerned because I have a long flight home tomorrow night from Oahu to Seattlevtgenbto LAX then home to Tucson. . Help

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There is nothing to worry. Weather changes can cause nose bleed. When it does, just pinch your nose. And then get your nasal area examined by a doctor to check if there is some growth.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ankit
