General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Firstly, I would like to ask:

1. is there any cough or sputum coming out?
2. do you feel heaviness in your face?
3. is there any kind of rash?
4. is there breathing trouble?

I would like to give some tests:

1. Complete blood tests
2. Blood culture for C. diphtheriae
3. CT Sinuses
4. CT Middle Ear
5. Liver Function Tests
6. Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis

I would also like to suggest medications. For pain and high temperature, Paracetamol 500mg when needed.

Amoxicillin 500 mg orally, 3 times daily, every 8 hours for 7 days.

Meanwhile, drink lots of water. This thins nasal secretions and keeps mucous membranes moist.

Use steam to soothe nasal passages. Breathe deeply while standing in a hot shower, or inhale the vapor from a basin filled with hot water while holding a towel over your head.

Avoid blowing your nose with great force, which can push bacteria into the sinuses.

Post another question with the test results and a doctor will follow you up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
