Hello,

Your 8 year old daughter presented with high grade fever, vomiting and back and neck pain. The following are some probable causes:
1) Typhoid
2) Meningitis
3) Viral gastroenteritis
4) Urinary tract infections
5) Severe flu

Please check for any rash all over the body. If rash is present chicken pox and measles are to be ruled out. In my opinion, you need to go to another child specialist and get your daughter examined thoroughly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
