Suggest Treatment For Persistent Coughing Spells In An Infant

6 month old been sick for about a work and a half stuffed noise slight fever here and there has cough, cough send to be getting worse. Sometimes when she s coughing she throws up because it makes her gag. Cough seems to be getting deeper sounding. It seems more frequent at night then during day. What do you think it is and how can I help her

Hello, thank you for using HCM,

I read your question and I understand your concern.

Your baby might be having a pneumonia. If fever has lasted more than 3 days, and like you are describing it is getting worse, these means that is serious.
I would suggest to consider taking her to the pediatrist or ER so someone can check her lungs and do a physical examination.

Meanwhile use saline drops for her nose, give acetaminophen 10-15mg/kg weight for fever.
