General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
Laxatives are mostly habit forming .. so you need to use them as per need.. basic treatment would be-
- To have stool examination for noting bowel infections/ infestations/ food allergy & intolerance... followed by specific treatment advised by a Gastroenterologist.
- LIfe style changes-Dietetic changes in form of plenty of fibers & water in diet. Avoid fast food
- Regular suitable exercises daily for 45 minutes.
- Have a big tumbler of warm water with 1 tsf honey & 10 lemon drops- first thing in the morning.
A consistent effort to stick to lifestyle changes & needful treatment would
help you to get rid of constipation .
Thanks.
