Suggest Treatment For Penile Yeast Infection In A Child

I have an 8 yo grandson that his mother says has a penal yeast infection and insists eating sugar items makes it worse. I cannot find any reference online to educate myself regarding youth penal yeast infection. Can you recommend a resource for me to study?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Yeast infection in genitalia is unusual in a 8 year old.
Yeast infection is common in infants and toddler due to nappy rash.
Anti-fungal ointments can be used for treatment of the yeast infection, but the cause of fungal infection in a child needs to be found out.
I suggest you to get blood glucose of the child to rule out diabetes mellitus infection.

Thanks and take care
Dr Shailja Puri
