Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i sometimes have very random nervousness. so i looked online and i truly believe i get panic attacks. i am 20 years old. the last one i got was at my job at the end of the day while i was counting the money in the cash register. out of nowhere i got very nervous/anxious, my hands were shaking pretty badly, my mouth was very dry and i had trouble breathing. it lasted about 10-20 minutes. i tried to control it but i could not. i dont want to lose my job because of it. and now i get nervous about the next time i have to do that at work, i feel like i will have another one so im continuously thinking about it. i talked to my doctor and he said its probably my personality. i know that it is not, im not a nervous person but since about a year ago it started happening. what should i do?
I went through your details. Please understand that panic attack is no big deal. When we are busy doing something which is really stressful, panic attacks often happens. They vary in their strength. Simple panic attacks are very common and pass soon. Your panic attack seems to be a simple one. Don't obsess on that and having anxiety. Leave it at that. Consult a psychologist if need be.
