Suggest Treatment For Palpitations And Anxiety In A Person With Hyperthyroidism

I m a 54 year old woman with graves. I ve been in remission for 19 months,taking no meds. Recently out of no where I ve had an atrack of hyperthyroidism . Heart palpating ,anxiety, my eyes burning and very sensitive to light! I ve been dealing with this for six years and feel it s time to make a decision and have something done. I m not sure what procedure will be best for me. I m tired of taking the meds that make me gain weight and loss hair everywhere!

Thanks for posting your query.

There are other causes of palpitations , so first make sure that your attack was due to Hyperthyroidism or is it something else. So first get a Thyroid profile done and if it confirms Hyperthyroidism then we can proceed with other modality treatment for it .

The other options for treatment of hyperthyroidism are :

1. Surgical Excision of Thyroid Gland .
2. Iodine Radiation.
