Suggest Treatment For Palpitations After Performing Physical Activity
Hi, I am a hypo thyroidism patient and take 125 mcg of thyroxin. also i have cervical spodolosis. i occassionally get neck and shoulder pains which doctor says is b/c of my posture. i also get palpatations and fast heart throbbing occassionally at night time(after over doing phisical activity) my weight is 6 kgs above my optimum weight and i want to work out but when ever i do it i am ok after the session. but at night i feel lot of heart throbbing and palpatation. the doc asked me to do excercise tolerance test, which came out to be normal. how can i start exercizing and still not get palpataipns a few days ago i experienced pain in my ears which disappeared after having a pain killer. after that i was accoassionally getting ear pain (not very sever) so i visited an ENT he performed endo scoopy of my nose and throat and said i have acid reflux and i need to control my diet.
At first i would like to tell you that 125mcg of thyroxine is not a small dose which means your thyroid control is not adequate, for that you need to be sure that you take your time on the prescribed time eveyday and take the necessary precautionary advise give to you by your treating doc. Now coming to the palpitation part, even a normal person can have that after a good physical workout but in your case these can be more pronounced because of hypothyroidism as Hypothyroidism is well know to cause palpitations. So what you need to do is increase your physical activity levels in gradual manner over a period of time so that your body can slowly be adapted to that amount of work stress. For your acid reflux you need to avoid to much spicy and fried food items and take any PROTON PUMP inhibitor half an hour before breakfast for 15 days.
Good Luck
