Suggest Treatment For Painful Skin Tag Near Anus

I have an infected skin tag near my anus, it s extremely pain ful , doctor has given flucloxacillin 1000mg 2x day 2 days ago and infection is still feeling worse, is this normal, should I get second opinion. Is the dose right, can I take 4 x day , I can not sit, it hurts so much, skin tag is size of a marble with a lump under it which is hard, hot and red under skin like a golf ball, what to do?

I have gone through your question and i think you are taking the correct antibiotic for the infection. But if I were your treating physician I would like to add few more things to your treatment regimn....first of all
1. sitz bath, that is to sit in a tub of warm water for 15 mins daily....this aids in reducing the inflammation along with maintaining hygiene.
2. Lignocaine gel application to your anal area before and after passing stool
3. laxative syrup 3 tbsp at bedtime daily
4. Increased intake of fruit, vegetables and water.

If the infection doesnt subside with the recommended antibiotic dose I would suggest you visit your local physician for the cange of medicine or for assesment of prolongation in the course of antibioyic.
