I have shingles and was in June given some ibubrofen tables to reduce pain. I have not used ibuprufen since August. I have arthritis and take 665mg of panadol osteo per day. The pain from the shingles is debilitating. Any suggestions? Sincerely, Charlotte.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful shingles. Well I would suggest you to consult general practitionr fo proper examination . Doctor may order certain tests along with physical examination . Doctor may prescribe antiviral drugs like acyclovir , valacyclovir and for severe pain doctor may prescribe capsaicin cream , anticonvulsants, such as gabapentin , tricyclic antidepressants , lidocaine narcotics, such as codeine or injection of corticosteroids .
