Suggest Treatment For Painful Rashes On Feet

My daughter has had hives for 5 days. Tonight her feet are extremely swollen and are causing her a lot of pain. Now she is developing purple patches on her feet. The doctors in town do not know what is going on and keep sending us home to wait this out. She has been taking antihistimines, but they don t help. She had two doses of a steroid also. I m worried about her feet mostly tonight. They look like balloons. Her face is flush and swollen with patches around her mouth and the hives are all over her legs and arms. Her hands were swollen at one time as well.

Hi,

Your daughter seems to have acute urticaria. There may be wheals on various parts of the body off and on. As it is of short duration, there may be some cause. You consult dermatologist and have firm diagnosis. Blood tests may be done to find out internal disease. Allery to some diet factors or external contactants or inhalants might be responsible.

Antihistaminics like fexofenadine along with oral steroids in tappering doses may be given to her after consulting doctor. Single dose of Anti worm like albendazole may be given if worm infestation is suspected. Apply calamine lotion on the wheals, whenever they occur. Continue treatment for few weeks.
Have patients for the good result. Severity of the disease might reduce gradually...then the disease might cure.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
