Long duration diabetes may lead to many complications and diabetics are more prone to a condition called diabetic foot. Due to some vascular changes and a condition called diabetic neuropathy even a small ulcer or corns may lead to severe complications in foot. Your doctor has advised you the right thing. Its always better to visit a surgeon for corns in foot. Corn caps is of no use. Surgeon may remove corns and you have to be under his supervision for some time. Your blood sugar levels are under control and maintain the same. Don't try to remove corns by yourself. Wash your feet thoroughly with warm water and dry it (specially between toes). Always use micro cellular shoes. All the best Dr Santosh
