Suggest Treatment For Painful And Sore Throat

Hello, Last week I irritated my throat by yelling a few times and I have also been in air conditioning frequently. At the moment I have a pain in my throat that seems to migrate from just above my collarbone to the left side of my esophagus. It does not feel like a sore throat as I am able to speak and swallow with no difficulty and the pain occasionally subsides or migrates to a different part of my throat. It feels like a bruise inside my esophagus or like something is jammed in my throat. I do not believe my lymph nodes are swollen either the sides of my neck are not tender in any way. I take famitodene every morning to combat my occasional heartburn. My tongue is dry as well and somewhat coated in white substance.

Hi dear ,

As per your you have sore throat and pain in throat radiating towards esophagus . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as acid reflux . This kind of condition occur when uper valve of esophagus dosen't work well and acidic content of stomach come upto throat . This irritate the mucosa and cause pain like sensation . I would suggest you to avoid eating spicy and heavy food specially at night , ear small and ferquent meals , take walk for 15 mins after every meal , eat food at least one hour before going to bed and take antacid like gelusi after every meal . Consult gastroenterologist for proper examination and rule out cause like strep throat . Do warm saline gargles several times a day .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
