Suggest Treatment For Painful And Frequent Urination Due To Kidney Stones

When I pass water I am only passing small amounts and it is painful. As soon as finish I feel the urge to go again. I do have kidney stones and last time I had lithotripsy it was painful and so we had to stop after less than 1/2 hour. I have also vomited 4 times today. I was advised to take codeine phosphate and Oramorph but neither one is helping. What should I do now?

Hi
You must have mentioned your gender. Such symptoms can be due to prostatic enlargement in males in old age. Besides this, urge to void again & again and painful micturation can be due to urinary tract infection that can be due to renal stones. Take Tab. ciprin 500mg 1 tablet twice daily for 5 days. Take cranberry juice 1 glass daily & Tab. dicloran 1 tablet twice daily for 5 days. For vomiting take tab. maxolon 1 tablet three times daily for 5 days (to be taken half an hour before meals). Get an ultrasound KUB, Prostate, pre-void & post-void residual urine done & consult a urologist with its report for further management.
