Suggest Treatment For Pain Underneath The Rib Cage

Hi, I had a sneezing fit this morning and I sneezed so hard I felt an intense sharp pain that can only be described as something went pop in my lower left side underneath my rib cage, that was about an hour ago and it s still extremely sore if I move

Thanks for your question on HCM. Sneezing and coughing cause rib muscle contraction.So any forceful activity will cause forceful contraction of rib muscles. Along with rib muscle, diaphragm is also important in this. So forceful contraction of lower rib muscles and diaphragm cause pain. So it must be muscular pain. And should subside with simple pain killers.
If still pain persist than I duggest you to go for chest x ray and rule out any underlying pathology.
