Suggest Treatment For Pain In Thigh After An Injury

I fell down my basement stairs this Morning, nothing broken feel pretty good considering. Landed mostly on my upper right thigh , hit it several times in the way down. It s now swollen and hurts to touch. I ve been icing it on and off all day. Should I keep icing? No bruise as of yet . Seems natural that it would hurt. I m 52 yrs old. Wife wants me to go to ER I don t feel it s necessary.

I really appreciate your concern, history of fall, actually injury happened this come ahead later on and some time it may take some time to manifest, but ideally this need to be examined clinically by doctor and this is most advisable because some time, time period may be crucial one and it is not good idea to wait for clinical symptoms, so better go to ER, hope this information helps, take care.
