Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Thigh

I have pain in my left thigh - mostly on the outside - when I walk, not when I stand or sit. I also have some pain in the joint to the large toe of my left foot \. It is a little red and a little swollen. My foot tingles. I also have some peripheral neuropathy in the soles of my feet. The pain in my thigh is the most bothersome. (I am 79-year old female, until now in good health)
