General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You seem to have muscle spasms of thigh muscle tendons because of sudden strong action of the muscles / compression of sciatic nerve at pelvic bone to cause muscle contraction. You should take rest. Avoid painful movement or position of leg. Fomentation with warm pad or ice pack would give some relief. Application (no massage) of muscle relaxant ointment over the counter & anti-inflammatory pills like Ibuprofen would give some relief. In case of no relief in 3 days or aggravation of symptoms demand consultation of a orthopedic surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
