Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Hip Bone

I had an xray done of the hip bone in my buttocks. the dr. said it showed nothing. then why do i have so much pain, especially after any physical activity or chore? I have rheumatoid arthritis a mild case of it.I also have thyroid. can either of these symptoms be contributors to this ongoing pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. greetings! Thanks for your query! Hip pain can be due to a number of factors. It may be due to muscle stiffness around the hip area. It maybe painful due to osteoarthritis. Initial stage changes are difficult to pick up on a X-ray. Rheumatoid arthritis usually affects the small joints, very rarely the huge joints. I would suggest you to apply a local pain relieving gel, as well as over the counter pain killers. A course of physiotherapy may help too.
