General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. If the bony spur is mild then using cushion sole sandals or flip flops will be helpful. You can also take vitamin D and calcium supplements for correcting osteopenia. Using night splints to stretch the calf and arch of foot is also good. Your physiotherapist will guide you to do exercises to strengthen and stabilize plantar fascia. If it is not improving by this measures then shaving off the bony spur can be considered after consulting an Orthopaedic surgeon.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
