General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should get an X-ray and MRI of the hip joint to determine why this stiffness and treat it adequately. We cannot tell for sure now if you could ever play again until the right diagnosis is made. For the moment, do not play, apply analgesic cream locally, and take glucosamine, magnesium and calcium bone supplement.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
