Suggest Treatment For Pain In Esophagus While Swallowing

I have a sharp pain in my esophagus when I swallow food and drinks...it is the same spot each time. It also hurts when I feel a gassy bubble wanting to come up. I have never felt this before...I know it has something to do with stomach acids, but I do not know how to make it go away.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from acid reflux that is gassy bubbles coming up from stomach t food pipe and throat along with stomach acid and it leads to reflux esophagitis that is inflammation of the lining of esophagus or food pipe causing pain and burning during swallowing as well as at times even spontaneously..
I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like Upper G.I Endoscopy can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
He can advise you to take antacids like Milk of Magnesia, proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole, H2 blockers like Ranitidine, take small frequent meals, avoid acidic and spicy foods, take probiotics like Yoghurt in diet, walk after meals, do moderate workout, drink plenty of water and sleep with head slightly raised as compared to feet..
Take your dinner atleast 2 hours before sleeping..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
