Suggest Treatment For Pain Due To Muscle Spasms

Hi, I subloxed-sp? My shoulder at a young age from playing football, and I had surgery shortly there after. My shoulder hasn't been the same ever since. I'm 25 now, and just recently completely dislocated it and was told by ER doctors that I'll need another surgery. I'm waiting to get approved for Medicaid. My shoulder slips out on a daily basis, I have muscle spasms that, I believe, cause it to slip and I'm living day to day in a world full of pain. I can't sleep at night, and I can't find a non-general labor job. Could you please give me some advice?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
You need to consult an orthopedician. The treatment usually involves rest with pain killers in combination with the muscle relaxants along with good physiotherapy exercises.
Meanwhile you can do a hot fomentation and apply a local analgesic gel on the area to relieve the spasm.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
