Suggest Treatment For Pain Behind The Sternum Area
I have pain starting behind lower sternum or xiphoid process area that seems a bit like gripping pain. Not severe. Feel it when I swallow. I am able to swallow. Been going on for 2 days. Only symptom before that is about 2-3 times a year I would briefly get hiccups if I ate too much rice too fast. Don t think that is associated.
Hello, unfortunately you have not mentioned your age and whether you have difficulty swallowing both liquids and solids, which could have helped in diagnosing your problem, yet, you need some investigations to do to enable us reach the diagnosis. XR chest, Barium food, CBC are the minimum no of tests you should do and we will see if the pathology really is in the upper GI system and if it is, is it a mechanical Blockage, strictures, Haitus Hernia, or any other cause.
