Suggest Treatment For Pain Around Navel After Umbilical Hernia Repair
Yes. My wife had an umbilical hernia repaired about 2 years ago. Last week she was cleaning the area and felt pain in her belly button. After inspecting further, she noticed a little blood and what looks like exposed inereds about the size of a large pencil lead protruding. It burns continuously. And every now and then a sharp pain. Is this something that should cause concern

it should be examined by surgeon who operated for umbilical hernia.can be a stitch element. surgeon should examine for recurrence.
