Hello,
Thank you for using HCM.
Ovulation time can cause some abdominal pain and watery discharge. The cyst that contains the egg (folicul) is going to rupture and this causes mild fluids in your tummy and some pain. The pain is mostly like menstrual pain and should not be there for more that 1-2 days. Watery discharge happens due to the fact that the body is getting ready for a pregnancy so secretions get more watery to help sperm move. Secretions at this time get transparent and thin and can get like a long string. So both of the symptoms you have are normal during ovulation. On other hand we have to be aware of other causes of low abdominal pain. If you have constant pain for more than 3-4 hours that does not allow you to move and no periods of improvements than propalbly is better to see a doctor. It still might be rupture of the ovulatory cyst but we need to rule out other more important diagnosis. Other diagnosis to consider is apendicitis- this causes mostly pain that localizes in the right lower area of your tummy. If you have had surgery before bowel adherences that might interfere with bowel movement might be another diagnosis. And due to being at the low abdominal area urinary infection is in the list of differential diagnosis also.
So I would recommend some over the counter pain killers like Ibuprofen (after food to protect the stomach) and paracetamol orally, local warm compresses might be a help and if no improvement in a few hours or if pain is getting worse than you will need to see a doctor for further diagnosis and treatment plan. In this case an ultrasound of the abdomen and sometimes vaginal ultrasound also might be indicated, abdominal xray might be indicated if the doctor suspects adherences of bowel. Blood tests like complete blood test and Sed rate might be helpful for the doctor to decide.
Hope this helps and answers to your question
