General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

1. I would like to suggest both arterial and venous Doppler to assess the vascular system in your upper limb and to look for the thrombosis and look for any need for anticoagulant.
2. Numbness could be due to neuropraxia, or nerve injury or a part of diabetes or kidney injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nataraj Naidu R
