Suggest Treatment For Pain And Fluid Retention In Ankle
Hello! i have a pre xsisting healed compound breaks of tibia & fibila. Sice i turned 50 that area , my ankle is in pain & increasing with water retention upon any excercise! What can i expect a othro surgeon to do in order for relief. My ankle in injured area does show significant bone buldge due to calcification. Thank you
Hi there sometimes when one sustains a lower leg injury it can be associated with ankle ligaments injuries or ankle joint cushion(cartilage) injuries and these will manifest much longer after the main injury has healed (in your case tibia and fibulafracture) Your ortho doctor will examine you and decide on requesting xrays of your ankle or even an MRI and will then advice on what's going on.
