Have a cyst on the right ovary measuring 2.2x1.6x2.0 cm which demonstrates a thin internal septation. Uterus is normal in appearance aside from a small anterior suberosal fibroid measuring 1.4x1.2x0.7 cm. Do you think it should be removed by doing a cyst aspiration on the larger cyst? Would having any of these cysts interfere with trying to conceive?
Hi, Though ovarian cysts less than one inch in size can be put under observation for spontaneous resolution and conservative management, the fact that you have a loculated cyst calls for further evaluation. You should consult an expert, get further investigations like an MRI, CA 125 or other relevant blood tests and be under observation. The fibroid should not be a problem for conception and progress of pregnancy as it is small and subserosal. If the ovarian cyst is non-hormone secreting, it need not interfere with pregnancy; else, it would. Hope this helps.
