General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of being a diabetic, developed otomycosis in right ear which your ENT tried to suction it out but needs to go again.
Otomycosis is a known complication in uncontrolled diabetes in most of the cases; in fact many patients presenting with otomycosis are diagnosed to have diabetes for the first time.
Otomycosis can grow again after first clearance and depends about the strain.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Development of otomycosis in one ear indicates that your diabetes may not be under best control.
Hence consult a Diabetologist for proper clinical and lab evaluation and get treated to get proper control over diabetes.
Have regular blood sugar levels checked.
Proper control of diabetes will help to eradicate otomycosis.
Topical anti-fungal ear drops as per advised of your Doctor.
Repeat suctioning of the right ear if required till fungus is fully cleared.
Avoid water and any other OTC drops in ear.
Take multivitamins and minerals.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
