Suggest Treatment For Osteoporosis
I am a 72 yr old woman with osteoporosis and a fracture of the fifth metatarsal (on 4/30). I had the cast removed today with 50% healing indicated. I am to continue using crutches until 6/15 with some weight bearing. Should I invest in a walking boot and where should I be placing myinjured foot down, on the heel or sole or flatfooted

nothing to worry in general metatarsal heals 6 weeks to 12 weeks time cast is not required beyond 6 weeks . take care of osteoporosis with medication and start walking on sole nothing will happen when you put weight only due to micrmotion it will heal better to start partial weight bearing and gradual full eight bearing you will be alright have a good day
