Suggest treatment for osteoarthritis of the spine

I have been diagnosed with cervical and thoracic spinal osteoarthriosis a!long with my spinal cord is flattened in my whole thoracic areas of my spine. I have a total of 8 herniated discs I have always refused pain medications in the past but now due to the excruciating pain have agreed to them along with injections. Is there a better alternative out there?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

From the complaints you had outlined, it suggests s spine Spondylosis. It is not only with medications that you may feel better but also I advise you to learn some knee strengthening exercises from a local physiotherapist. Take advice from your local orthopaedic doctor to reduce the usage of sustained release pain medication, and also ask him about the local pain relieving gels and any other modalities of pain management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
General Surgeon
