General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you have a history of OMD, oromandibular dystonia & have been prescribed Keppra, do continue to take the medicine as prescribed. Neurological problems may take time to get well.

You are suggested to get in contact with a Neurologist & a Physiotherapist. You need CBT, Psychosocial & occupational therapy.

Your treating Neurologist may give you medicines like Baclofen, benzodiazepines, anticonvulsants, levodopa, etc depending upon the severity of your pathology.

Injections for muscle afferent block & BoNT injections are effective. However, every patient is different. Discuss it with your treating doctor, get treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
